Kayan Commercial Building

The Kayan building is located in a one-way street in one of the most crowded neighborhoods in sari. Although The apartments in the area used to be residential, recently most of them have replaced with higher commercial buildings. Thus, new modern buildings have created a developed area which has a great potential for investments in constructing offices and stores.
Regarding The triangular shape of the site, the client’s demand to have 2 offices in each floor and the need of having a ramp for the parking's at the southwest side of the site, the above space of the ramp eliminated in the mass of building. This empty space has provided several advantages. First, the office which is located in the back would have access to the street by a balcony. Second, the area which can let in the sunlight from the south would be duplicated. Third, the facade of the building will have a better perspective by having a depth. Furthermore, in order to have a better view for passersby of the one-way street, the building is rotated a bit from the street axis and this rotation is various in different floors.
