The habitants of the house are an old partner who wants to spend their retirement in a quit and peaceful place outside the city in an orange garden where they are able to enjoy from the fresh air and do some gardening and have a few pets. The site is located up on the hills and it has an eye catching view of the Tajan river and the forest around.
Considering the topography which is a steep slope, a part of the house is sunken in the site in order to make 2 levels of accessibility. First ,the road to the house which is in the same level of the road and the second, the house to the garden which is in the same level with the garden. Therefore, the habitants have access to the house with no stairs and with less walking. In terms of providing water, the area is poor and access to the water and electricity is limited. Hence, the rainfall in rainy seasons is storing in a 40m3 water tank and used for irrigating the garden. The tank is constructed on the top of the site and with the same level of the road under the parkings. Furthermore, a part of the roof is flat to provide a space for placing 20 solar panels and 2 solar water heater. This will not only provide a part of the energy that is required for the house but also leads to reducing the energy consumption.
