Our client’s demand was expanding the office spaces and improve the overall appearance of the buildings facade in the site of a steel foundry near Sari,in the north of Iran. However, after a research which were done by our team the design idea altered to boosting the quality of work spaces, outdoor spaces, facade of old buildings and creating a gallery in order to show some of giant production of the foundry. Indeed, we designed a new organizational identity for a successful old factory by a modern architecture, and new visual identity. Additionally, lack of space in the entrance of the foundry imposed us to renovate an abandoned storage instead of building new ones. Thus, it turned into a showroom and a gallery and also a new floor was added to the building to provide the space for senior managers room. Furthermore, a glass box which contains the garding’s room was added to the main entrance to the factory.
Trees and green spaces were added to all passageways and corners of the project not only to reduce the intensity of pollutants but also to increase the quality of the workspaces. In order to respect the environment, part of the structure and objects of the interior spaces were made by using the factory waste.
